Boost For bgroup Growth

Sam and Chris - New Experts at the bgroup

Only two months after Newcastle-based communications firm The bgroup re-launched as a six-division, full service communications agency, the company's ambitious growth plans are already taking off with the recruitment of two new specialists to strengthen the team.

Chris Stainthorpe joined the innovative firm in May 2004 after earning Upper Second Class Honours in Software Engineering at the University of Durham. Chris will strengthen the Digital b team, delivering the company's unique web-based development service. With thorough knowledge of information technology he will ensure the extremely high standard of Digital b's work; creating the online communication tools that underpin their clients' communications strategies.

Sam Fisher is the most recent recruit, joining the group's founding division, bmarketing - also the former name of The bgroup - in July 2004. He graduated from the University of Northumbria in 2002 with First Class Honours in International Business Studies. Sam's experience and understanding in the strategic marketing domain will help The bgroup further expand its client portfolio in the North East and throughout the UK. In addition to nurturing the company's own shoots of growth, Sam will also employ his skills to help The bgroup's clients nurture theirs.

The recruitment of two new employees forms part of the company's enterprising plans to become the region's leading full-service communications agency which will see turnover jump from 500k to 2.8milion by 2006. Indeed that growth is happening right now and Sam and Chris have already had a chance to make an impact, becoming involved in a variety of new and on-going projects. Chris played an important role in the re-branding and re-launch of The bgroup in May and has also worked on projects such as the creation of a new portal for the Tees Valley Care Partnership and The bgroup's renowned e-news publication, the bdaily.

Sam will be involved with the organisation of a number of events including the prestigious Blueprint regional finals - a competition for enterprising students to write an innovative and profitable business plan - which takes place in October this year. And in addition to the development of The bgroup's own marketing strategy, he will relish the opportunity to participate in the creation of a promotional campaign for local artist Matt Forster and his Art Works gallery, amongst a host of other projects.
