A rewarding and truly creative role for a Web Content Manager has arisen to join one the most ambitious and forward thinking business-to-business online networks in the UK. http://bdaily.info/about/. Working alongside a growing journalism team, the Web Content Manager will be responsible for all content across the website and associated publications, including news, advice, film, UGC, RSS as well as assisting the growth and positioning of affiliate content providers.
A strong background in building web communities through excellent content is a requirement for this role, as well as understand how to position content across our network across the wider net including SEO, affiliates and wider partnerships to build content, awareness and engagement of bdaily business network. Equally, part of this role will be to take responsibility for creating innovative ideas to drive site traffic and increase the time spent on the site. The web content manager will also develop new innovative features for the site and will have full creative autonomy to ensure the site always looks fresh and engaging each day.
As well as the day to day web management duties you will also be responsible for the social media engagement off the site, as well as engaging bdaily’s growing community to utilise our own community to comment, discuss and post their own thoughts, opportunities and promotions.
To be considered for this incredibly exciting role as the web content manager you must have worked on a commercial website as either a web editor or content manager, and have a good understanding of what works on online. You will also have an understanding of SEO techniques, be full of bright ideas and have worked with a CMS on a day - to - day basis. Experience in writing/ editing is not essential for this role but will be seen as advantageous.
To be considered you must have a proven track record in the web/online arena and will be able to talk the right language when it comes to marketing, digital communications, social media and customer engagement concepts. You will have a solid grasp of the importance of brand awareness, and whilst not needing to be technical, will have an appreciation of the possibilities (and limitations) of technology driven marketing
- Experience as an Online Content Manager
- Strong online copywriting and editing skills
- Educated to degree or beyond in communication, business, content or digital arena
- Excellent IT skills including CMS, SEO, HTML, XML
- Experience of using a content management system (CMS)
- Commercial experience in building income streams and opportunities
- Specific experience in building advertising revenues
- Experience of running a business/senior management team
- Knowledge of the UK business community
- Experience of online statistics and analytics for bdaily and our clients
