A North East digital specialist has been successful in securing a contract for one of the UK's leading contact centre operators. CPP Group Plc (CPP), an international Life Assistance business, has taken on digital recruitment and marketing specialists Pearsons to help recruit agents for its contact centres in York and Tamworth.

Shirley Young, Senior Operations Manager, Recruitment, at CPP said: "Pearsons is renowned for providing innovative and creative solutions to clients. It was the freshness of their creativity that really inspired us. It is important that we get the right people to handle the 14 million service and telemarketing conversations each year on behalf of our blue-chip business partners - and the Pearsons campaign work is designed to do just that."

Lilian Hughes, Pearsons Managing Director, said: "It is really exciting to be working with such a forward-thinking company as CPP. They are open to different ideas and creative approaches and this presents a great opportunity for our creative teams."

Pearsons has been appointed to handle recruitment for CPP's York and Tamworth sites. CPP will be looking for customer services, sales and management professionals, though their remit also includes implementing innovative recruitment marketing schemes and techniques such as vodcasts, advans and ad scooters to spread the word about CPP.

As Lilian Hughes explained: "Pearsons has been appointed for its fresh outlook and creative approach. We have already carried out a number of focus group meetings to help us develop ideas on attracting the target market and feel sure we can continue to spread positive messages about this vibrant company."

Pearsons has offices in Middlesbrough, Leeds and Newcastle. For more information about the company, visit www.pearsons.co.uk. For more about CPP, go to www.cpp.co.uk.
