Theatre rewards those who live on 'The Street'

Date 1 Feb 2007

North East residents whose street shares the name of one of the most famous on television can cash in on a special offer from a regional theatre. On February 8 William Roache – Coronation Street’s Ken Barlow – is kicking off the tour of his one-man show with a performance at South Shields’ The Customs House. The theatre is offering anyone who lives on one of the Coronation Streets which are scattered around the region the possibility to see the performance at a special two-for-one rate.

Kathryn Bradley, marketing manager of The Customs House, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for any Coronation Street fan to really find out what goes on. “And we know that there are least six Coronation Streets in the North East so there are plenty of people who can take advantage of this offer."

Anyone who wants to see the show and lives at a Coronation Street should ring the box office and will need to provide proof of their address on collection of the tickets. Bookings can be made via the box office on 0191 454 1234.
