Former prisoner caught breaking back in

Date 17 Sep 2006

A young man was arrested at a Austrian jail last week – for trying to break back in. Ananova reports that Detlef Federsohn, 23, missed prison life so much, that despite being released, he wanted to return to life on the inside. He was arrested for the second time when police were alerted to a man on the roof of the prison, and fearing a prison break they apprehended him, only to find the man had recently been released after serving two years for theft.Federsohn said: "Life is so much easier on the inside. They feed you, do your washing and let you watch TV, which I can tell you is a lot more than my mum does. So I thought if I could sneak back in I would blend in with the others and the screws wouldn't notice."
